Presented by Lika Balenovich (PhD Candidate, Graduate Writing Center Consultant) and Drew Fleshman (PhD Candidate & former Graduate Writing Consultant).

Please join us on January 16th for a presentation & discussion about fellowship resources at UCLA. The presentation will offer strategies for finding funding opportunities in the humanities to support your research efforts at different stages of the PhD. We will discuss both intramural and extramural funding opportunities, including sources for research travel and dissertation research and writing fellowships. Additionally, the presentation will address how to organize your application and writing efforts and how to navigate your funding eligibility. Presenters will also share some of their strategies for locating other types of jobs and funding sources on campus (e.g., TA ships outside of the department and other ASE positions).

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A with time for group discussion so that students can share knowledge and resources with one another. We hope to see you there!

Important note: If you are further along in our program and/or have already received many fellowships, you are encouraged to attend the session, participate in the discussion, and share your specific fellowship knowledge with colleagues in Comparative Literature.
